TruBlu Farms
Larry Elmore began raising pork on TruBlu Farms in 1976 and added beef cattle in 1995. The beef cattle operation was converted to Black Angus in 2008, and Katahdin hair sheep were added in 2009 to complete our pastured and grass fed meat products. Larry has been involved in the beef industry since childhood. A former Clemson University Extension agent and a Certified Crop Advisor, Larry knows the benefits of providing quality year-round forage and optimum conditions to produce superior naturally raised meats.
We are constantly trying to further our education and share our love of farming at TruBlu Farms. Larry currently serves as the President of the Orangeburg Area Cattlemen’s Association, and both Larry and Donna Elmore attend and participate in producer educational seminars, including those provided by Clemson University, North Carolina Extension Service, and the Carolina Farm Stewardship Association. We are also members of the Southcentral Katahdin Hair Sheep Association and the South Carolina Sheep Industries Association.
As a family operation, our three children and grandchild share our love for farming, ensuring that we raise our animals in a low-stress, natural environment and treat them humanely from birth to market. With detailed attention to soil quality, animal husbandry, grass production, and year-round quality forage, TruBlu Farms and its methods ensure a sustainable future for generations to come.
